Experience Summary
I earned a Baccalaureate of Science, Physics at age 47 in 1997. Currently, I hold an Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate, Physics 6-12, # 300049l, expiration 2014. I have tutored Physics for other undergraduate, while employed as Physics Laboratory Assistant, 1993-1997. My formal teaching began in Science and Mathematics, Middle School, Baton Rouge, LA Fall 1997. Additional Tutoring and Teaching experiences, 2000-Present are; (1) Science {Physics, Physical, Earth, Environmental, Astronomy, Chemistry, and Anatomy-Physiology} (2) Mathematics {Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry}. Also, I have taught; (1) GED Prep Classes [80% passing rate] (2) Homebound Teaching [Student 2010 College Dean’s List, Mathematics] 2007-Present.
Teaching Style
I love teaching others, helping them find success in learning. My approach to teaching are using; (1) Student assessment data in deciding, planning, and delivering instructions (2) Student Learning Style (3) Syllabus and Lesson Plan development (4) Rubric Evaluation Methods. Also, using; (1) Critical Thinking Activities (2) Socratic Question Methods (3) Effective Learning Skills and Strategies (4) Periodic Reflective Journal Writing Activities. My current Subjects of interest are; (1) Science {Physics both Classical and Non-Classical} (2) Mathematics {Arithmetic through Differential Calculus} (3) Education {Teaching and Learning Theories}.
