Experience Summary
I have been a kindergarten teacher for the last eight years. I differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all children. As a result, my students conclude their kindergarten experience with reading and math skills at or above grade level expectations. Also, I focus on learning activities that foster the child's character and conflict resolution skills. Children demonstrate appropriate behaviors and coping skills amongst their peers. I also believe that fostering a child's fine and gross motor skills is of the utmost importance. I utilize many different activities and exercises to make sure that this domain of development is addressed.
Teaching Style
I believe that assessment of a child's skills should drive the teacher's instruction. Every child should receive instruction that meets their individual needs. I believe that I inspire children to want to learn more and to explore freely. I demonstrate an enthusiasm towards teaching that my students respond to, and produces eager learners.
