Experience Summary
I recently graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Education degree. My subject area is high school mathematics. I have completed two practicums along with a semester of student teaching, all three in a high school math classroom. Along with my practicum experiences, where tutoring students is one of the major duties, I have experience tutoring college level students in their mathematics classes.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students have a different learning ability and learning style. I am patient and caring about my students, and I find the best way to teach each student so that they will succeed and perform to their highest potential. I believe that student-centered learning is a great way for students to understand material. This teaching approach allows the students to investigate topics and create conjectures about material. Student-centered learning gives students a deeper understanding of knowledge. I believe that after I work closely with students, they will have the knowledge and study skills to succeed.
