Experience Summary
I am currently a certified teacher with the Baltimore City Public School System. I have been teaching for five years. I have taught grades 3-5. I have taught Language Arts for the past three years; two year at the fourth grade level and one year at the fifth grade level. During the school year, I provided afterschool tutoring. I also worked for two afterschool tutoring programs in previous years.
Teaching Style
I am a very patient teacher that loves interacting with children. It is important that I gain my students' trust. I make sure my students understand the basics before I build on those skills. I believe that every child can learn and be a successful scholar. I make learning fun for my students by providing real world application. It is my job not only to prepare my students for the next grade level, but also the rest of their academic career.
