Experience Summary
I have had a wide range of teaching and tutoring experiences: tutoring elementary school students in math and reading in Boulder, Colorado, teaching high school boy scouts wilderness survival skills in New Mexico, teaching 7th grade science in Denver, Colorado, substitute teaching, and teaching 8th grade general science and 9th grade Introduction to Chemistry and Physics in Frederick County, MD.
Teaching Style
I have learned how to work with different types of learners, ones who learn from verbal instruction, ones who learn from activities such as lab exercises, and ones who learn from reading activities. I love the diversity of learners in the field of education, and it is a great experience every time I meet a new learner and get to figure out the best way to help them learn the material I am presenting to them. I want every student I meet to be successful, and I strive to do all I can to ensure that success.
