Experience Summary
While I hold a Bachelor's in English, I have learned more outside of the college setting than I have in the classroom. I have over ten years experience training and tutoring. I have had the opportunity to train individuals at my place of employment. I also have experience tutoring students one-on-one in various subjects ranging from English to Science and Math. I am currently in the Communications field where the majority of my work involves writing, editing, and preparing documents for training.
Teaching Style
My teaching style varies based on the child's needs. I am very adaptable and willing to provide the best method of learning for each individual child. I am patient and pay attention to the child's attitude and non-verbal cues to see where I need to adjust my teaching, even if that means stopping the session for that moment. I believe that I learn how to teach from the child.
