Experience Summary
I have over seven years experience teaching students, grades 2nd to 12th, with specific testing success in grades 4-7th. I have taught in both private and public school settings, using creativity and my advanced degree to reach students of all ability levels in all academic subject areas. As a tutor, I have specifically been needed across many age groups, for reading, writing, and math, which are subjects of most comfort and ease.
Teaching Style
Students respond well to my patience and encouragement as I use creativity and student interest to master struggling concepts. I motivate students to do their best, engaging them in activities that create success, and encourage all to at least try. I know many strategies for memorization, studying, and comprehension that has led students to be successful in their individual academic goals as well as school-based assessments. My goal as a teacher and tutor is to create rewarding, and successful, learning experiences for students of any age.
