Experience Summary
I have taught at-risk youth (ages 16-25) at Northlands Job Corps in Vermont. The course I taught was to prepare students for careers in Business. I have also taught Business at Middlebury Union High School in Vermont. I have 14 years of Corporate Training at L.L. Bean, ICT Corporation, and The Killington Travel Service. I also taught one graduate level course for teachers at Middlebury High School. The course was about transforming classes in to School To Work classes.
Teaching Style
I posess a Bachelors Degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Education. I have been able to successfully combine these two areas in school environments as well as corporate environments. The students that I have taught, tutored and mentored varied in age, educational level, and ability. I have always tried to match my teaching style to the learning styles of my students. I have tried to individualize instruction as much as possible. I have taught various areas of Business to apply to many different venues. I believe a good teacher creates an environment where students are motivated to be productive and are eager to learn.
