Experience Summary
After pursuing PhD at Dartmouth College, I have acquired years of process engineering and management experience at Intel Corporation and Biotronik Inc. I have five years real world engineering experience and have spent two years teaching science courses at University Buffalo and George Washington University as an instructor and a teaching assistant. At times, I taught 134 college students during my masters work at Buffalo, NY and 75 senior and middle level professionals and technicians from engineering to safety classes. I have tutored math and science students extensively in India and UK during my college years and have passion to teach History, Geography and Biological sciences.
Teaching Style
A major drawback in current teaching methods at schools and institutions is the absence of efforts to educate students, why they should learn things they are being taught. I try to understand the students need level of interest and proficiency prior to designing multimedia and multi methodology course or delivery methods filled with real world application and references to fill the students need. My classes and presentations are interactive, fact filled and simplistic in nature with stress on reasoning rather than accumulation of facts and information. I am looking to utilize my creative teaching methods, vast experience and innovative techniques to change a student’s perspective about what they are learning and why they have to learn.
