Experience Summary
As a reading tutor for the past two years I used a variety of approaches to help students increase their reading skills. I assisted students in improving their skills through phonics and leveled readers. I also kindled students’ interest in reading, found books that interested them, used arts, crafts, games and storytelling in relation to reading, and helped students create personalized journals for expressive writing. For the past ten years, employing Applied Kinesiology, I helped people progress in a range of fields from tennis to reading, and I taught simple and highly effective non-invasive methods to remove stress.
Teaching Style
I believe in every person’s right to achieve their fullest potential. Children blossom in a loving, caring, accepting and fun atmosphere. I am a kind and compassionate person with a great deal of patience and perseverance. It is a joy to me to watch students improve and gain confidence, grow and start to explore on their own. I create an atmosphere in which this can happen and I bring with me the necessary tools to ensure that learning occurs. My goal is for every child to improve and learn the methods they need to continue their education.
