Experience Summary
I have a Ph.D in Chemistry in 2008. I have taught chemistry labs for 4 years in my graduate school. From 1999-2001, I was tutoring students from elementary school up to high school in math and science classes
Teaching Style
The experience of teaching students, though complicated at times, was extremely rewarding. I felt a sense of joy when my students understood a concept here and there. I soon realized I was slowly becoming a role model to younger students that were interested in studying chemistry. My experiences as a graduate student and teaching assistant enhanced my curiosity and desire to help young scholars achieve their dreams. One of my main goals of teaching is to promote active learning which will be approach using real case studies, minute paper and concept maps to review previous student’s knowledge and draw a parallel of the concepts discussed in the lecture.
