Experience Summary
My degree is in Business with a major in accounting from Indiana University. I have also taken 15 hours of computer science at Purdue University, where I gained a strong understanding of databases and Visual Basic. I received an Expert Certificate in Excel from Fresno Adult School. I am self taught in Visual Basic for Applications using the object set for Excel.
Visual Basic for Excel changed how I do accounting, increasing both the accuracy and speed of accomplishing almost all accounting tasks. I have transformed and reorganized nearly all tasks surrounding accounting positions I have been involved in for the past twenty years.
Teaching Style
My style fits the student, as each person is unique. The need of the student comes first and depends on both the student’s ability and drive. I believe in a friendly attitude, but also think that there is a specific purpose we get together and that is what inspires and drives progress. The object is ultimately not just to learn, but to think and understand what is being learned and integrate it with all subjects.
