Experience Summary
I graduated from Clemson University in December 2009, so my experience involves student teaching, substituting for Greenville County, and tutoring for Academic Assistance Plus. I student taught in second grade and had a wonderful time incorporating technology, hands-on activities, and team projects. Academic Assistance Plus as allowed me to create simple, but detailed lesson plans covering phonemic awareness, simple math, and money.
Teaching Style
I believe in maintaining a positive and effective environment. Creating lesson plans that are engaging as well as challenging is extremely important in a student’s academic development. My main focus, as a teacher, is to provide a safe environment for my students to express themselves and truly be comfortable with their peers. Every activity and lesson plan incorporates hands-on activities, working with peers, and incorporating real world events with every activity.
