Experience Summary
In high school, I learned to love the formulaic simplicity of algebra and during my years at UAF, learned to fully appreciate the beauty and tricky complexity of Calculus. I enjoy extending this appreciation and understanding to anyone willing to ask. My first tutoring experience was for an adult first-time algebra student at UAA. I tutored again during the last semester of my degree with a better understanding of how math is applied to real life problems.
Teaching Style
I am patient and dedicated to teaching the student not just math, but also to use their own textbook and resources to study on their own. When I tutor, I have another goal, second to having the student pass their math class: learning to study so they won't need to rely on a tutor.
I also have a flexible schedule, and can easily adapt to the student's learning style.
