Experience Summary
I have been a public school teacher now for 3 years, and private for 2 teaching biology and mainly chemistry. Before teaching high school, I was a chemist for an alternative energy company that made biodiesel and other byproducts for fuel and cosmetic purposes. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience from undergraduate to now 4 years of teaching in a classroom.
Teaching Style
I develop a relationship with my students to eliminate any anxiety that they may feel about science, specifically chemistry. I make it relevant to their life and their expectations, breaking it down and giving real life applications. I expect a lot from my students, but I give them the tools that they need to meet those expectations and build up their self confidence and apply what they have learned.
