Experience Summary
I have recently graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Mathematics with an option in Actuarial Science, and a minor in Statistics. I spent three years in college tutoring my peers in subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus II, and a variety of Statistics classes. I also have tutored high school students during my summers at home. In addition to my college education, I spend a significant amount of time still furthering my education by studying and passing exams for the Society of Actuaries, a professional actuarial organization.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I think that all students are unique and learn in different ways. As a tutor, I believe it is my job to find out how students learn and try to facilitate that process. Throughout the process I think it is vital to keep a positive approach in addition to making sure the student grasps a thorough knowledge of the subject.
