Experience Summary
I have a BS in mathematics because I believe not only is the abstract mathematics important to understand, but the application is just as important. I have a minor in physics and a strong foundation of general chemistry I and II. As a student from the University of Michigan Dearborn I am used to traveling long distances in a given day (I live in Farmington Hills which is about 25 miles from Dearborn). This also allowed me to constantly be around family which I tutored all of the time in math and science. The subjects we covered are calculus, physics, chemistry, and probability and statistics.
Teaching Style
As I've tutored for over four years I've noticed that each person has their own unique style of learning. At the beginning it is rather slow trying to understand the students style of learning, but once I understand the best way to present the material at hand I exploit it for all its worth. I make sure the student understands fully every problem at hand and never move forward until I feel comfortable moving forward. I make sure the student gets a strong foundation of the material and will be able to recall information readily when need be for future problems.
