Experience Summary
I am a certified elementary teacher and I have been teaching for 9 years (Kindergarten through 6th grade in public and private schools in Ohio and Illinois). I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Ursuline College and another Master's degree in School Administration from DePaul University. I address and create developmentally appropriate instructional materials and procedures consistent with individual learning styles and needs. I have knowledge and skills in tutoring reading, writing and English (all levels) and math - for grades K-6
Teaching Style
I present the curriculum in which students of all learning intellects are recognized as individuals and provided with the important tools to make cognitive, social, and physical development possible. I believe that children should be immersed into a student-centered, active, and hands-on learning environment. I create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation. I use a variety of instructional strategies to encourage students’ development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and performance skills.
