Experience Summary
I have a bachelor degree in Business Administration majoring in Accountancy. After graduation I studied for and passed the Uniform CPA exam in my initial sitting with scores of 80 or above in all four sections. I have been a practicing CPA for over seven years and licensed in California and Washington. I have tutored students in college level accounting courses, and one student in High School algebra and find the experience rewarding. Additionally, I have good business writing skills and find writing essays for English very rewarding and fun.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and working with all age groups. My teaching style is to listen carefully to the student to find out where he or she is having difficulty understanding. I evaluate how the student best learns and try to integrate this is my tutoring. I focus on the reasoning and logic that lead to answers so the student is equipped to reason out answers. Finally, if required I may help the student develop a strategy for tests and exams.
