Experience Summary
My experience includes earning a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and a master's degree in psychology. I worked as a family therapist for seven years with a wide variety of clients including senior counseling, family counseling and grief counseling. I was lucky to have had inspired teachers in my schooling and I want to bring that to every student who I tutor. I consider myself a muse who can bring out the best in others who want to excel. I have learned my grammatical and writing skills through writing research papers, essays, and creative writing. I studied French in France. I have also tutored English informally to French students wanting to expand their language skills.
Teaching Style
My goal is to be constantly building confidence in a student's abilities. I am very patient and allow the student to advance at their own pace. I enjoy being the muse that can show the student the skills they may already have but never had the knowledge to express it. I can show that learning reading and writing can be fun and not boring. I am a very supportive person and believe that everyone can learn and be inspired to want to learn more. My goal is make a student feel more confident in themselves through the power of knowledge in vocabulary.
