Experience:
Math Tutor
Teach 6th grade through 12th grade Mathematics under the No Child Left Behind Act. Explain mathematical concepts and give students tricks to help retain and apply to solving problems. Prepare students for CRCT exams. Taught Statistics to a 12th grade student and was successful in converting grade from F to C in 6 weeks and the student had the highest grade on the final.
Taught College Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations and General Math at Augusta State University. At Georgia Tech,
taught a 2-hr recitation on Lisp-Scheme Language, Matlab and JAVA; Held office hours to help each of my 14 students;
Graded quizzes, programs and design documents.
Teaching Style
As a tutor, my goal is to understand the needs and learning style of my students and develop a systematic and tactical approach to exceeding their goal and most importantly retain concepts and learning material.
