Experience Summary
From a young age, I greatly enjoyed school and excelling in all that I put my mind to. To this end, I have earned a BS in Psychology and a minor in biology, both with Honors, and am applying to continue my education in graduate studies. Through my undergraduate work I have gained a greater understanding in biology, math, and writing papers and research manuscripts. During the college education I tutored other groups of college students in biology and tutored children in science.
Teaching Style
I love being able to give other students the passion that I have for learning and understanding something new. During my undergraduate work in psychology and training to be a tutor, I learned the different types of learning styles and how to test for them. I use this technique with every student I work with, so that I can teach to their form of learning. I believe that children learn best through practical application and hands on activities that help them better understand what we discuss and work on. All children are capable of learning and excelling, once they understand how they learn best. I strive to instill in every child a feeling of pride and self-esteem in their studies.
