Experience Summary
I have home schooled my step daughter and a friends daughter for the last couple of years. I graduated with high honors (Alpha Sigma Lambda, Magna Cum Laude from Drury University. I have stayed in the same field for 20 years and am looking forward to helping children learn how to read and write the fun way. My goals have always to be able to teach children how important education is and how they can go about gettin an education that is useful. I have helped to encourage the two children I teach now to improve grades from near D's and F's to high B's and even A's.
Teaching Style
Children want to learn. It is the job and responsibility of the teacher to show enough concern and ability to show these children how to learn. I try to always remember when I was younger and had a great deal of difficutly learning to read and write, how the teacher who helped me went about doing it so I could learn. She made learning fun, exciting and most of all important. I wanted to learn and enjoyed it so deeply I eventually went to college and earned my degree.
