Experience Summary
I was driven to achieve a high level of excellence in education based on my own families background and my own. Because I was overlooked it gave me the desire to help those that seemed mostlikely to not succeed. I earned a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education while working full time and being a full time mom. I went on to earn my Masters in Education and Psychology/Counseling. For the past 15 years I have taught in Public schools as well as Private schools.In addition, I have taught at a local Technical College. For the past year I have tutored students in grades 6-9.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching, it is part of what I was born to do. I enjoy teaching children and adults. I have always believed that all people can learn but at different levels and in different styles and the teacher just has to discover the "hook" that helps the student best in succeeding. I believe that it takes more than the teacher; it takes the student and the parents also. I do my best to try any tool available to enable my student's success. My track record speaks for itself. Ninety-five percent of my students have reached their goals and the other five percent shown improvement.
