Experience Summary
As a result of my post-high school studies in mathematics and business, I feel I'm suited to tutor people in those subjects. Statistics, quantitative methods, and analytical methods are my strongest subjects. Additionally, I have college graduate level skills in English/grammar, science, and social studies. Although theses were not part of my major, I do have above high school skills to share with those who need help in those subjects. Out of those three, my English skills are above average from writing many research papers on business subjects.
Teaching Style
This particular position interests me because I struggled with math through middle school and understand the frustration it can create for a student. Mathematics is now my strongest subject and I chose the profession of accounting to utilize those strengths. During my time at college, I helped other students with their studies in math and business, specifically statistics and quantitative analysis. Although this teaching experience was with college level students, I have held a summer job working with 8-12 year olds for the past four years. When I finish my Master’s Degree, I may consider teaching at an institution such as CCAC because I enjoy helping others with their education.
