Experience Summary
I have a diverse educational background, which includes studies in the area of social work, psychology, sociology, and education. I graduated in 2003 from the University of Arkansas with a B.A. in Social Work with minors in both psychology and sociology. In December of 2009, I graduated from University of Central Arkansas with a Master of Arts in Teaching. I will begin my Educational Specialist degree in school counseling this spring. Currently, I am teaching seventh grade pre-algebra and math at Marion Middle School.
Teaching Style
I love working with all children, but I particularly enjoy middle school aged students. This is a time in their life where they are easy influenced, and I believe I can be a positive influence in this very important time in their life. I am patient, and believe every child has the right to have academic success. As a teacher, I believe it is my responsibility to help each student reach their maximum potential.
