Experience Summary
I have always enjoyed the Spanish language. As a Hispanic it is part of the culture in which I was raised and is also a point of pride for me. Teaching added a wonderful element to my life and since the moment I stepped foot into my first classroom I have thoroughly enjoyed working with students of diverse backgrounds. In my opinion working with the students is the best part of my career. The experiences that I have been given have allowed me to further enhance my teaching career and provide me with a different perspective on life. To see the world through one of my student's eyes is a welcomed challenge. Teaching will always be my forte and teaching Spanish makes it the best career.
Teaching Style
I believe engaging activities facilitate the learning process especially with regards to a foreign language. I also agree that assigning meaning to what a student learns is perhaps the most important aspect of teaching. As a teacher I strive to relate concepts to the student's life. Learning a foreign language can be the most rewarding experience for anyone because of the benefits it brings. In the classroom I do my very best to keep my students attention engaged and active in the daily lessons. I also promote daily checks of understanding so the student is able retain what they have already been taught.
