Experience Summary
I have always tried my best to help my fellow students in classes, but my formal experience teaching began my junior year of undergraduate. I started tutoring for the chemistry department and I volunteered for a chemistry demonstration show that promotes an interest in chemistry. When I started graduate school I got more experience as a teaching assistant for various general chemistry courses. Beyond this I love chemistry, it has allowed me to earn my M.S., struggling to learn a wide range of material to the best of my ability.
Teaching Style
When I teach I try to make the student feel more at ease with the subject. Yes this material is difficult but with persistence it not only do you succeed in academia but you end up discovering something amazing. While I am patient and encouraging, I do have little tolerance for excuses. If how I teach is not working, I will find another way looking beyond the standard text if need be. Honestly all I want to do is show students how I see chemistry, it's truly incredible.
