Experience Summary
With a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology, minor in Mathematics and pursuing M.A.T Mathematics, I have taught foundational to advanced levels of mathematics, chemistry and biology. In addition I have developed proven strategies to succeed and improve PSAT, SAT, ACT, GMAT, NET, CRCT, EOCT, GRE, COMPASS, and GED Scores.
My strengths include over 5 years of experience of breaking down tougher concepts into smaller, easy-to-understand concepts, connecting concepts to real life, inspiring a love for learning, and exploring new ways of teaching. I like to lay a strong foundation with rudimentary concepts, and make learning fun for all grades, ages and backgrounds.
Teaching Style
Every child has a unique learning style; some learn by reading out a loud, some learn better through visual representations, but many have a mixed learning style. My teaching style depends on my students’ learning style. I use engaging techniques to keep the student focused on learning. I like to bring a variety of resources to the study session like worksheets, reading material, rulers, balls, coins, playing cards, compass, tiles, graphing calculators, pictures, etc. I also utilize resources available online like math games and interactive activities.
