Experience Summary
In addition to writing countless essays during my time as an English literature student, I worked as a residence hall tutor for my last two years of university, helping other students revise and edit their academic papers for grammar, structure, flow and ideas. Since university I've received a certificate in teaching English as a Foreign Language through Cambridge's CELTA program. I have utilized this certificate to teach English for Academic purposes at a Turkish university, and most recently, general English and English for business at two institutes in Argentina. I was also able to refresh and improve upon my Spanish language skills while there.
Teaching Style
Having been in a variety of different learning situations myself and further exposed to them as a teacher, I have a keen appreciation for different learning styles. As such, I strive to adapt my style and resources to both the needs and learning style of the students, whether it be on an individual or group basis. I also recognize the need for patience above all, as everyone learns at different paces; in this regard I am well suited to the teaching environment, as I am not only a patient person by nature, but have striven to make myself even more so in my several years experience teaching.
