Experience Summary
After graduating from the University of South Carolina, I began teaching 7th and 8th grade English and Writing Skills at Kelly Mill Middle School in Blythewood, South Carolina. I have been teaching here for the last five years. Though I have primarily worked with middle school students, I have extensive student teaching experience in AP English and other levels of High School English. I am most talented in working to improve the writing and critical reading skills of students at any age or ability level.
Teaching Style
I believe that students are individuals. No two learn the same way. As an educator who is passionate about what she does, I strive to meet the individual needs of my students by tailoring instruction to accommodate both their learning styles and Multiple Intelligence preferences. I work with struggling students as well as gifted and talented students, and am able to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse body of students.
