Experience Summary
In public schools, I have taught all grades 7-12. I have taught high school physics, high school chemistry, high school biology, 7th grade science. I received a minor in chemistry that required me to also take the calculus series in high school. I have also taken some higher levels of math in college such as Differential Equations.
I have also taught all levels of band from beginners to high school. I perform in two different groups. I enjoy playing jazz the most.
I have a background in psychology that qualifies me to function as a counselor in public schools.
Teaching Style
I am often described as laid back. I focus on the key components of learning and students are surprised when they understand more than they thought that they did.
With music, I enjoy beginners equally as well as more accomplished students.
I also enjoy a good joke now and then.
