Experience Summary
I began my educational goals as a medical student, but later was advised that I should branch off into teaching and instructional applications by undergraduate and graduate professors.I'm so glad I took their advice because I really enjoy teaching and observing growth and development in my students. My teaching experience include 15.5 years of teaching biology, chemistry, environmental science, earth science, physical science, and algebra I and II. I'm also a math and science specialist for a Learning Center.
Teaching Style
My first priorty to assist students in learning is developing a positive relationship with them, and then try to identify their strengths and weaknesses. From that point I can then begin to provide assistance and correction. One of the secrets or truths to student achievement is building their confidence and establishing high self-esteem traits toward achievement in that particular subject area.
