Experience Summary
As a Virginia Tech Honors Graduate I earned a bachelor degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Through this path I have gained an understanding of both math and physical sciences. While studying I also volunteered at a local middle school to tutor children in math. Also, having lived in Paraguay for three years I have gained a high conversational and written spanish language ability.
Teaching Style
With one on one tutoring, especially of a foreign language the key should be conversation, while face to face. Practicing conversation, inventing conversation and writing conversation. Writing and word memorization activities may be assigned for the time between tutoring sessions, and discussed in the following session. Of course every person has their own way of learning and the beauty of having a personal tutor instead of a class is that the instructor can focus on his one pupil's learning style in order to develop the most effective and proper teaching methods.
