Experience Summary
I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. The exact date that I will receive my bachelor's degree in music is May 16th, 2010.
My majors at this University are in geography, mathematics, and violin performance. I am originally from Germany and speak German fluently. I have also taken university courses in German to enhance my understanding of grammar and writing.
I have taught both violin, viola and piano. In addition, I have tutored students in Algebra and Calculus courses.
Teaching Style
Since I began teaching, I have taught students from age 6 to age 24. I am always sure to use the full time slot available to me as efficiently and effectively as possible.
I do demand outside preparation from my students. When tutoring math, I demand that my students have read and attempted the problems we will cover. One of my goals in teaching math is to facilitate neat and concise compuation. As a music teacher, I demand daily practice from my students.
Finally, I enjoy teaching children of all levels. Though I have certain expectations in my students, I am flexible toward the student's unique method of learning.
