Teaching Style
Training as a Basic/ESL tutor,I gained ability to handle learning “crisis”, and developed a teaching style beginning with an assessment. Including phonetics of word composition from lessons from ESL workbooks, and my education, allowed instruction on vowel and consonant blends.
I drafted a guide containing examples and sentence structure. A list of vowels/consonant blends with samples indicates pronounciation. Studying Acronyms proved beneficial. Student states: “I enjoy reading now; I understand”; proves starting off at a level to determine students's strengths/weaknesses provided building blocks to success. Student reads a chapter a session; creating a list of words improves vocabulary.
