Experience Summary
After completing my Bachelor's and Master's at ASU, I have taught the past 3 year at Notre Dame Preparatory, which is a college prep school in Scottsdale. I have taught both History and Math at Notre Dame Prep. My math experience includes Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I have a degree in History, but have taken Calculus 1 and 2 at ASU. I am highly qualified according to the state of Arizona to teach either subject and enjoy both equally. I have individually tutored my students in Math and History for the past 3 years as part of my career.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with students. I teach students, not just subjects. I am able to teach all levels of students from the high students who require challenge work above their current level, to the students who are below average and struggle to understand the basics. I believe that students learn concepts through direct instruction, but a hands on approach helps really cement in the knowledge. I am easy to get along with and do well with all types of personalities. I am patient and have multiple ways of teaching material based on what is working with each individual student. All students can be taught, its just up to me to find the way to do it.
