Experience Summary
Throughout my educational experience I have been committed to academic excellence. I recently graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English. My studies gave me a versatile set of writing, research, and critical-thinking skills applicable to many areas of study within the Humanities. In the past I have had 3 years of Russian, 1 in Hebrew, as well as good deal of study in beginning level Latin. In addition to my studies in English, I also took college level Calculus, as well as courses in physics, and history electives. Work experience has given me adept knowledge in the computer skills necessary for business use. Over the years I have tutored students in writing and grammar, literature, music, economics, and various levels mathematics.
Teaching Style
My desire is not to simply communicate information to students, but to accommodate material in such a way so that each individual student can learn a way that is easy and hopefully enjoyable. Not every student enjoys learning every subject, but I believe that an accommodating and understanding teacher, willing to work hard in order to make learning simple and useful, can give the student the necessary motivation and confidence to learn any subject well. Therefore, while I accommodate my teaching style to each student's needs and abilities, I always strive to teach in such a way where learning becomes a personal interest for the student as they expand their capabilities through engaging and struggling in the hard work that is education.
