Experience Summary
As an early childhood educator, I have a passion for the education of young children. I strive for success in creating a love and a desire for learning in every academic environment. I am certified in early childhood education and have seven years teaching experience in both the private and public sectors. I have great references and a wonderful rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. During my academic career I have tutored children in all the major academic subject, mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts.
Teaching Style
I believe in using multiple teaching strategies that encompass all the different learning curves. I believe in using many examples such as hands on activities, listening skill development, study skills techniques, think pair share, jig saw method, and the scientific approach.
I also highly believe in positive reinforcement. Praising and encouraging a child for job well done, and supporting and scaffolding a child who needs encouragement, giving a child small successes can lead to bigger successes which will make a difference in a students academic life.
