Experience Summary
As a native French and Creole speaker, I have the ability to teach your children the proper French as well as the jargon to adapt to any French countries whether it is Canada, France, Dominica, Haiti or our own New Orleans, LA. I was raised with learning and speaking the French language and I have traveled to Paris, France and Quebec, Canada where I practiced both the jargon and the business versions. I was briefly a translator for a marketing company where I translated French to English. Therefore, I speak, hear, write and read the French language. I have a Masters degree in Business Administration, therefore, I believe in gaining knowledge through education. J’espère vous entendre bientôt = I hope to hear from you soon!
Teaching Style
Salut!
I used both teacher-centered and student-centered styles because although coaching and facilitating a student in understanding the language, having the knowledge of which countries speak the language and the different terminology used by each countries can be a benefit to a student. I believe in interaction and practice of the language on the daily basis. It takes time to learn a new language but with practice, perfection follows. Anyone can speak a new language and my best reward is to see the achievement in all my student. If I demonstrate my passion and love for it, then they will enjoy learning it and have fun while doing so. It is not a matter of a teacher's knowledge but how to pass that knowledge to the student.
