Experience Summary
I have experience with children from 6 weeks old through High School.As a teacher,tutor, mentor and director.I was very much driven to a high level of educational expertise.My area of expertise are students with ADD/ADHD or those who are disenchanted with learning or with school. The key is to listen to the child, find out what areas of interest they have and build on that. I have never encountered a child who did not want to read about their area of interests. I am a life coach and oftentimes will use those tecchniques such as listening and then setting the appropriate goals to move forward.I have a Master Degree,and a BS in Elementary Ed.Every child can learn, but more importantly every child/student can develop an interest in learning.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I am available to help your child find academic success. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a constructivist approach to learning. I believe all children can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference in a child's education. I strive to make a difference in all of my students' lives.
