Experience Summary
As a recent graduate from the Athens State University English program, I am proficient in the areas of grammar, writing, and English and American literature. I have excellent grammar skills due to writing research papers and essays. I am also a freelance writer for online and local publications. During the last two years I have tutored college and high school students in English and literature.
Teaching Style
My teaching style varies with each student. I talk with the student to determine his or her personal learning style, and then base my method on the individual student. I believe that every student is unique and I do my best to cater to his or her particular learning style to maximize his or her learning experience. I evaluate the student's strengths and weaknesses, and work to improve the areas that need improvement. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement, and I always give praise and encouragement to each student. I seek to instill a love of learning in all of my students.
