Experience Summary
Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed helping others to learn. There is something indescribably fulfilling in imparting knowledge to others. During my time in college I earned a BS in Biology with a Biomedical focus and a minor in Chemistry. While there I worked as a tutor and laboratory teacher's assistant for General Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. My knowledge in the area of Biology and especially medicine was expanded with the year and a half of medical school that I completed prior to getting married. I have an extensive vocabulary and skills communicating my thoughts, via words or writing due to my experience with research papers and tutoring, and copious amounts of personal reading.
Teaching Style
In my time as a student, I have experienced both extremely poor teaching styles and teaching styles that caused the learning process to be a literal joy to undertake. Upon consideration, I realized that, although some students like some teachers better than others, the truly magnificent teachers had several key features. These teachers were amicable and approachable, they made learning fun, and their classrooms were run with discipline and order. I incorporate all these aspects into my teaching style, striving to make my help a pleasure to receive. With this pleasure, comes the desire to learn; and with this desire to learn, the education process is made a little smoother for my students.
