Experience Summary
I have been teaching middle school science for the past eight years at a local Middle School. My endorsement is in biology. For the past four years I have been enrolled in a master's degree program in reading at ODU. This May I will graduate from that program. My goal is to teach reading and work with struggling readers. I am also qualified to tutor biology.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children and helping them meet academic goals. As a tutor my job would be to find out how a child learns best. Learning styles can include auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Children also need engaging,interesting, and varied activities during their learning experiences. Another key point would be to identify strengths and weaknesses and to build a plan based on that information. I feel that all children can succeed.
