Experience Summary
I work as a Clinical Research Analyst. My vocational background is entirely in the healthcare industry, with particular education and practial knowledge in anatomy, physiology, medicine with particular interest to Central Nervous System, neuro and spinal functioning,neuro and cognitive psychology.
I taught Montessori during my college years, I have since tutored children for reading, mentored adult staff in my work, done onsight process training for clients, and function as a global team lead in clinical research, interacting with clients around the globe, in the UK, Europe, South America, India, China, Japan, and South Africa.
Teaching Style
I love being able to help someone reach that 'light bulb' moment of understanding a concept. Making a connection for the learner is imperative. I have a collaborative, interactive style. I tend to use visuals to help illustrate the point. I ask questions to make sure my analogies and metaphors are meaningful and help the learner. I find it useful to aid textbook material with a description of a process, a way of committing something to memory, or descpriton of how to grasp a concept as akin to a common experience/moment we have all had. I work to find a touchstone to help imbed a concept and build the learning process. I find great joy in learning, myself, and like to use creativity in bringing a concept to life.
