Experience Summary
As a graduate of Simmons College and Lesley University, I was always and active learner especially in the English language. I have earned a BA in Communications and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education, which has enabled to me to be quite successful in the areas of reading and writing. In addition, I have been a tutor for special needs students, English language learners, kindergarten students on IEP's and a literacy tutor. During the past several years, I have been a student teacher, a media specialist, a one on one aide and a substitute for several age levels.
Teaching Style
I have always loved working with children whether it be in a school setting, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts or home schooling my daughter. I am dedicated, motivated, innovative, fun and caring. I understand the diverse needs of children and am flexible enough to know how to adapt and change my style based on the individuals I am working with. Children need to believe they can learn, that they can achieve and they can be successful. I want to be the one to help children be the best they can be. I know I can be the one to make that difference.
