Experience Summary
Since graduating in 1999 from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis with a Masters in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration, I have worked extensively in Accounting Management and administration. I am very knowledgeable in the full-cycle accounting functions necessary to hold a job as an Accounting Manager, Staff Accountant, Accountant, and Bookkeeper. I have learned many Accounting Software packages and can produce and analyze financial statements. I am scheduled to take one section of the CPA exam this month with the goal of taking the other three parts within the next 18 months. I have a strong desire to achieve a high level of excellence in the accounting field.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students of all types of learning styles. I have worked as a Writing Lab tutor in the past and now I am enthusiastic to teach students about a subject I have over 15 years of experience working with daily. I would enjoy teaching students the basics of accounting and bookkeeping and give them an overview of the accounting cycle. I believe that I am personable, easy-going, and patient person. Building a strong foundation in accounting can be beneficial to all students who might start a business, need to run a household, or who might choose accounting as a career. I would enjoy teaching children about a subject that I strongly feel is important to her/his education.
