Experience Summary
I am a completely dedicated person, who is focused on strengthening my life skills and my knowledge base to continue to grow as a stronger and more well-rounded person. My background in psychology, public health, and social work have heightened my sensitivity to all ranges of people and cultures, and the needs they possess. My passion for learning has led me to develop a passion for passing along this knowledge. I have traveled throughout Latin America, which has strengthened my ability to speak Spanish. I have taken all types and levels of courses, and have helped other students throughout the learning process. I have carried out and written a research project which was then published, and it involved the use of statistical procedures.
Teaching Style
I believe that anyone is capable of learning anything. I believe that it is up to the teacher to make the subject at hand interesting, and relate it to the real-world needs of the student. It is important to instigate an open dialogue, to understand the student to then formulate a plan that fits with the student's learning style. Open communication and patience are the cornerstone to getting any student to open up and begin the learning process. I have a passion for learning, would love to help any student become aware that learning can be fun and productive.
