Experience Summary
I hold an Honour's degree (equivalent to a bachelor's degree) in Statistics. During my studies, I was a student assistant for courses in end user computer skills. I've also done one-on-one mathematics tutoring to students from grades 8 to 12 for two years. In the final year of my degree I was a junior lecturer for a semester. I taught Statistics to a class of 60 and achieved a 100% pass rate for the course.
Teaching Style
From my experience working with learners/students in both a classroom and a one-on-one capacity, I am comfortable working in either area. I am extremely patient and pride myself on making my students feel comfortable with me and I can adapt my teaching style to suit each child as needed. I come from long line of excellent teachers (as both my parents and my mother's father were all teachers and then principals) so it is in my blood. I know how to relate to children and therefore know how to get the best out of each of my students.
