Experience Summary
With a Masters degree in Reading and Literacy,and a Bachelors degree in English, I enjoy teaching everything from grammar to literature. My experience has been at the middle school and at community college for nine years. I taught grammar, writing, reading, language arts, and literature, critical thinking, and poetry.My student body consists of many different levels of skill, and I can modify work for all. After school tutoring programs have always been a part of my service to my students. I love my work and my subject, so I have been very successful.
Teaching Style
My teaching style can be very diverse. Individual attention is needed for students who may need more direct teaching. While I can utilize other students for peer tutoring. Every student has a style of learning and I strive to find and teach to it.
Affirmation, positive feed-back and successes are integral to learning. I am a very upbeat, patient, and positive person, and I have been a champion to my students successes.
